For over 100 years, the Commonwealth Bank has been actively engaged in supporting local communities. This reflects CommBank’s vision to enhance the financial wellbeing of all Australians.
As part of this commitment, CommBank works closely with its community partners and various grassroots charities to support a wide range of community activities, including: support youth, Indigenous communities, the arts, sport, education and the environment.
CommBank staff are strongly encouraged to get involved with their local community by volunteering their time and expertise to community groups and not-for-profit organisations.
The bank also regularly holds fundraising events and social activities to raise awareness and funds and to provide valuable support for issues facing their local communities.
As part of this focus on grassroots engagement, CommBank’s Mount Isa branch have been busy fundraising to support the great work that the NW Domestic Violence team do in the local community.
The CBA Mount Isa staff got crafty and ran a stall at the recent Carols by Candlelight, with all proceeds being used to purchase Care Packs to support those who have suffered as a result of domestic violence.
“We’re very excited to have the opportunity to support the NW Domestic Violence Team,” said Vicki Ryan, CommBank Mount Isa branch manager.
“CommBank is proud to help NW Domestic Violence continue the vital work they do in supporting the local community”.
