Second top priced bull of the sale was lot 1, Jamar Manual, who sold for $15,000 to the Dillon family, Surbiton Station, Alpha.
Manual, a 26-month-old sire, weighed an impressive 950kg and boasted an EMA of 141cm sq, with a scrotal circumference of 38cm.
The bulk buyer of the sale was Peter Comiskey, Mt Stuart, Capella, who went home with eight bulls averaging $5125.
Steve Comiskey, Mt Stuart, Capella, went home with four bulls, also for an average of $5125.
Also going home with four bulls apiece were Stoneybrook Grazing Trust, Springsure (av $5125), and CK and JA Feddersen, Whitdale, Rubyvale (av $8375).
Yarrawonga’s Andrew Bassingthwaight said he had been hoping M580 would top his line, after plenty of interest in the bull.
“He’s soft with enough growth, excellent testicles and structure, really good character, length and thickness behind, probably not the most exceptional muscled bull but a bull that has enough softness and thickness,” he said.
