The CAP Droughtmaster Sale continued with the solid start to the Central Queensland bull sale season run with a gross of $395,000 to average $5064 with a 93 per cent clearance.
Top price of the day was Glenavon Springbok by Hamadra Dodger who sold for $15,000 to Karen Geddes, CMC Droughtmasters, Telemon, Springsure.
The Western Australian influence was evident in both volume buyers and top end bulls with Michael Thompson, Munda Reds, Munda Station, Gin Gin, Western Australia taking home the second top price sire for $13,500.
Glenavon Toronto, also by Hamadra Dodger will be used in the Thompson’s Munda stud with Mr Thompson pleased to take home this lightly coloured youngster who is chasing particularly for his poll gene.
Volume buyers included the Cragg family, Mourindilla, Dingo who put together a line of ten bulls and Lawrie Holdings, Evergreen, Westwood who took home eight.
