Lindsay Grantz, Blackbutt, has Charolais-cross steers at $1540. Michael Jess, Redbank, Trust sold two decks of Santa-cross steers 18 months at $1185 and $1170. Martin Family of Mt Stanley had Droughtmaster-cross steers 15 months for $1070. Mark and Sarah Connors sold 10 months Charolais-cross steers at $1020. Andrew Lord, Manumbar, had Brangus steers 14 months at $1050.
Angle G Grazing sold Blonde-cross steers 16 months for $1060. Graham and Judith McPherson had quality Charbray weaner steers at $1020 and $916. B&J Farms sold Droughtmaster weaner steers at $855. Wendy Callinan sold Santa-cross steer calves at $810 and Angus-cross at $805. Peter and Helen Lyons had Charolais-cross steer calves at $950. Kevin Fogg sold his quality Charolais-cross steer calves at $825 and $755. W&C Sutherland sold Santa-cross bull calves at $725.
A quality draft of 100 Charolais-cross heifers 16-18 months from Conondale sold to excellent feedlot competition at $1125, $1105, $1100 and $1000. Redbank Trust had Santa-cross heifers 18 months at $1065 and $965. Andrew Lord’s Droughtmaster heifers sold at $1015. Kurrajong Pastoral Co, Nanango, had Droughtmaster heifers unjoined at $1200. Geoffrey and Leanne Hartwig, Eidsvold sold Angus-cross heifers 16 months at $995 and $960.
Chris and Shelley Muscat sold weaner Brangus heifers at $890. The McPherson family’s Charbray weaner heifers sold at $810, $790 & $785. Len and Pat Haynes Charolais-cross weaner heifers sold at $705. Lloyd Golinski sold Droughtmaster-cross heifer calves at $790. Angle G Grazing Co sold Euro-cross heifers at $815 and $745. Redlin Grazing had Charolais-cross heifer calves at $635.
Breeders were in strong demand. Kev and Sheryl O’Brien sold aged Charolais-cross cows and calves at $1520. Brangus cows with young calves sold at $1610. Brahman-cross cows and calves sold at $1450. PTIC Droughtmaster cows sold at $1480, $1400 and $1450. Len Davis, Linville, sold aged Droughtmaster PTIC cows at $1370. Mixhill, Conondale, sold aged Charolais store cows at $1,140. Glenhowden sold PT empty Droughtmaster cows at $1210 and $1080.
