Cloncurry Show has the reputation of being one of the best agricutural shows in the west and it was not hard to see why in two glorious days at the Showgrounds.
The Show opened on Friday and was attended by Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove on Saturday who formally opened the main pavilion. Crowds were boosted by those in for the long weekend on the steam train on Thursday.
The cattle looked in prime condition after the announcement of judging at the cattleman’s dinner the night before and the show was full of entertainment including the motorcyle team from Flair Action who impressed with daredevil stunts.
Action on the horse arena went on all weekend while after the big fireworks and demolition derby on Saturday Missy Lancaster took to the stage.
