Around 2100 head are being sorted for the Mareeba Landmark Special Store Sale to be held this weekend, (Friday June 16).
Kicking of at 10am, the sale will include strong Brahman cross lines from three different vendors.
The booking of 2100 head includes 1600 steers and 500 heifers.
Mareeba and Tolga Landmark Branch Manager, Tom Mugford, expects the event to be a strong sale.
“By only having three vendors it will help buyers to put some good lines together,” Mr Mugford said.
“We are hosting this special sale as it coincides with the vendors mustering programs.
“It is also more ideal to sell close to the end of financial year.
“This is a good opportunity to put a big mob of cattle together as buyers are looking to spend money.”
Mr Mugford said he was expecting buyers to travel from across north and central Queensland.
“We are hoping to see buyers from as far as Emerald and Cloncurry, with the addition of strong support from Atherton Tableland producers.
The Landmark Special Store Sale will be held at Mareeba Saleyards and seling will commence from 10am on Friday June 16.
