The Home Hill Showground was packed when individuals and families flocked to see the cane crop go up in smoke on Wednesday night.
The First Cane Fire of the Season long table dinner was held to soak up the atmosphere before the cane crop was lit for a unique experience. With a crowd of 200 locals and tourists in attendance
The cane crop was burnt ahead of the Cane Cutting Championships on Saturday and Sunday.
