YAAMBA property Balmoral sold under the hammer for $3 million at a Landmark Harcourts auction in Rockhampton today.
Auctioneer Ray Taylor said there were five registered bidders in front of a crowd of 40 people. 15 parties had inspected the property. Bidding on the Central Queensland started at $2.5m.
The buyers of the 2507 hectare (6196 acre) property were Jim and Janette Harvey of Tungamull via Keppel Sands. The Harvey’s are formally from Kilcummin Station, Clermont, and Lenox Station, Jericho. More recently they were at Mirani.
The sale price is equal to about $1197/ha ($484/acre).
Balmoral has excellent structural improvements with a recently renovated highset homestead, quarters, and 1000 head capacity cattle yards.
