There were 408 head yarded at Miriam Vale last week, with the market strong for weaners.

A yarding of 408 head consisting of many weaner types saw a strong market at the Miriam Vale monthly store sale.

Buyers came from Marlborough, Biggenden, Callide Dawson Valley and Gympie in addition to good support from the local areas.

John Massuritt, Captain Creek sold two year old Brahman steers for $1200. 

In the weaner section R & N Crawford, Bororen sold a pen of Brangus steers for $880. PA & L Smallcombe, Bororen sold a pen of Grey Brahman steers for $880.

D & W Tompkins, Bororen sold a pen of Droughtmaster weaner steers for $870. P & K Spencer sold a pen of Brahman weaners steers for $850, while L & G Cawthray sold a pen of Brangus cross steers for $840.

In the heifer section Ben Williams, Ubobo, sold Brahman cross No 6 heifers for $820. R & N Crawford, Bororen, sold a pen of Brangus weaner heifers for $725.

P Reynolds, Bororen, sold a pen of Brahman cross cows & calves for $1325. Estate of Downing sold a pen of store cows for $860 while a pen of Brahman cross cows account G & J Larson, Miriam Vale, sold for $760.
