THE 420 hectare (1038 acre) Northern NSW property Gilgurry sold under the hammer for $646,000 at a Ray White Rural auction in Brisbane this morning.
Located in the Boorook region, about 50km east of Tenterfield, Gilgurry is described as a low cost breeder operation well positioned to capitalise on northern NSW weaner markets.
The property has four freehold titles and a perpetual lease.
Water is supplied from Gilgurry Creek and Wattle Creek and six dams.
It is fenced into five paddocks, and is currently running 70 breeders and 70 replacement heifers.
Improvements include timber cattle yards, a steel-frame weekender, the original hut and machinery shed.
The marketing of Gilgurry was handled by Mark Clothier from Ray White Rural, Tenterfield.
