Clean up continues six-kilometres east of Camooweal, after a road train carrying concrete and PVC piping flipped.
In the late hours of Friday night, a three trailer road train allegedly lost control and drove off the road causing its middle trailer of PVC piping to dump onto the Barkly Highway.
Acting Senior Constable, Adrian Solah, attended the scene Saturday morning and closed both lanes of traffic.
“There was a huge amount of mess to clean up,” he said.
“Luckily there was no damage to the road and we reopened the highway Saturday afternoon.
“A local organisation will continue the clean up in the coming days.”
Investigations are continuing.
