Riders across north west Queensland had the opportunity to expand their horsemanship and barrel racing skills at a school at Cloncurry Equestrian Centre over the weekend.
Renowned horsewoman Caitlyn McPhee, flew to Cloncurry from her hometown of Ballarat, Victoria, to assist 12 riders with their horsemanship.
Providing riders with foundations of barrel racing to completing a pattern successfully, Ms McPhee offered her expertise in all areas.
“This was a two day school where we broke it back down to basics and built the foundations from there,” Ms McPhee said.
“Each rider experiences different issues with their horse, so I wanted to come out here and help them get past those barriers.
“The progression of all students was very exciting. I videoed each student when they started the clinic and when they finished and each and everyone of them improved.”
Ms McPhee hopes to return to Cloncurry in the future to host more clinics.
