Further Than Forever inspired by Hayley Wilson's outback roots

Hosting the official launch of her debut album at Metro Arts in Brisbane, Further Than Forever reflects on Ms Wilson’s personal life experiences of love, loss, adventure and navigating life as a young adult.

Ms Wilson credit’s Mount Isa for her early exposure to country music, love for the genre and hopes to return to her hometown to perform as part of the rodeo one day.

Having sung her entire life, Ms Wilson started in school choirs at a young age progressing to private lessons.

At the age of seven Ms Wilson moved from Mount Isa to Brisbane. Through years of perseverance and hard work, Hayley honed the skills necessary for her craft and deemed from a young age that music was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life.

After high school, she studied music and attended the Senior CMAA Academy of Country Music in 2012 in Tamworth where she gained industry knowledge from other artists as mentors.

It has taken several years to accomplish recording her debut album but has resulted in a collection of songs that she is proud of and eager to share with the world.

Her favourite songs on the album include Somnus, Bad For You and Further Than Forever.

Ms Wilson is currently in the early stages of writing new songs potentially for another record in the future but is mostly looking forward to promoting Further Than Forever over the next year.
