THE highly regarded Barcaldine/Blackall district breeding, backgrounding and finishing property Ramona will be auctioned by Hoch and Wilkinson in Barcaldine on March 10.
Located 58km south of Barcaldine and 82km north of Blackall, the 13,692 hectare (33,832 acre) property is described as extremely well watered with a controlled flow artesian bore, five dams and seasonal waterholes in Home Creek and a 14km double frontage to the Alice River.
Ramona comprises of a good mix of country from pulled gidyea heavy buffel country, pulled sweet pebbly buffel country with associated salines, gidyea burr and pigweed, to semi open sandy loam forest and flood out coolibah country along Home Creek and the Alice River.
Ramona is divided into 15 main grazing paddocks plus holding paddocks. Both the eastern and western boundary neighbours are currently constructing new cluster fences with most of the southern boundary already completed.
