With the rivers rising and falling, there is a timely warning about potentially deadly dangers in floodwaters.
Katherine newcomer Samantha Brannelly took this video footage from the Katherine high bridge earlier in the week.

Samantha said as a new arrival she was keen to seen how the return of the wet season had impacted on the river’s level.
But she hadn’t expected to see a crocodile cruising up the river.
The river level this morning is 2.6 metres and falling.
Continued rainfall is forecast over the next week.with 106mm already recorded in Katherine this month.
