THE 580 hectare (1433 acre) Waterhole Paddocks sold soon after it was passed in at an auction in Taroom on Thursday.
The property in four freehold titles was offered by Landmark Harcourts Taroom on behalf of David Curran, Two Up, Taroom.
Located 4km west of Taroom on the Taroom-Roma Road, the property was passed in at $1.35 million. It sold to a local grazing family.
The property runs from quality brigalow and buffel grass fattening country through to dark, alluvial Sandy Creek flats. Waterhole Paddocks features the large permanent Taroom waterhole.
the property is estimated to carry 200 feeder steers.
Bidding opened at $1.2m and rose quickly to $1.35m where the property was passed in with auctioneer Joe Keppel. Then sale was then negotiated at a higher, undisclosed price.
Waterhole Paddock was marketed by David McPaul from Landmark Harcourts. The property attracted 10 inspections with four registered bidders attending the auction.
