THE Aldinga Droughtmaster bull sale achieved a 91% clearance rate last week in Springsure, with 66 of 72 bulls sold for an average of $8045.
The top priced bull was Aldinga Gesture, sold to John Ticknell, Gympie, for $20,000.
Second top priced bull was Aldinga Gangster, sold to the McCormack family, for $17,000.
The volume buyer of the sale was the Dennis family, Urella Pastoral, Clermont, who bought 11 lots for a told of $106,000, averaging $9636.
Also buying big were the Carr family, Glastonbury, who bought six bulls averaging $7833.
The McDonald family, Fossil Downs, Fitzroy Crossing, Western Australia, bought seven bulls under the hammer for an average of $4500, but also bought three extra lots after the sale commenced, for $4000 each.
The McLoughlin family, Injune, went home with five bulls for an average of $8400.
