Blackall police have confirmed that the operator of a helicopter has been airlifted by the RFDS from Isisford this evening.
There are concerns he may have suffered serious neck or spinal injuries in the crash south west of Blackall this afternoon, but sergeant Ben Holdcroft said it was too early to know the extent of injuries or long term implications.
He said investigations into the crash are ongoing and will resume in the morning.
A forensic officer and detective will be assisting uniform police to examine the scene.
