It’s aqua and arrows for the rebranded Richmond & Cloncurry Stock and Station agency now known to be “Stockplace Marketing” as of June 1, 2016. “With ”Stock for Places and Places for Stock” – what other place would you rather be?” is the mantra Luke Westaway and his team chant daily.
Stockplace Marketing has been formed with five partners, Luke Westaway, Ashley Naclerio, James Coates, Susan Coates and Sara Westaway (Web’n’more) who all have a role to play in the livestock and property marketing business. The business is based out of Richmond and Cloncurry and primarily services from Torrens Creek, Hughenden, Richmond, Julia Creek, Cloncurry, Boulia, Mt Isa to Camooweal; up through Gregory, Burketown to Karumba, Croydon, Georgetown and across through Einasleigh and Mt Surprise. However in saying this, they are not physically limited to service further afield with the access to Luke’s aeroplane.
Stockplace has been launched in order to provide a higher level of service and emphasis for its local, northern client base. The team appreciates the loyalty and support shown to Luke and his team for the 15 years they have been servicing the area formerly as TopX Richmond and Cloncurry.
One of the many strengths of Stockplace is its ability to maintain long term relationships and alliances across the industry, with the aim to achieve consistent and favorable results with live export, feedlots and through paddock to paddock sales. Also having a sound knowledge of a range of different marketing and production systems, ie. KLR Marketing and RCS principles, Stockplace agents can add value to pastoral businesses marketing strategies and ideas for the long term. Another advantage is the business is privately owned, which cultivates a committed, loyal, local culture which streamlines the ability for Stockplace to respond to their clients needs fast and efficiently.
Because of the geographical area that is covered, individually a Stockplace agent can and may be out of phone range for a period of time – therefore the team is focusing on always having someone contactable and also to have as much information as possible available on the Stockplace website for 24/7 access.
The Stockplace website is designed to be as easy and useful as possible, making sure the information is up to date and relevant for both vendors and purchasers. It is designed to replicate the marketplace, an online platform where anyone can gauge what’s happening in the marketplace by visiting the Stockplace website.
Stockplace partnered with Web’n’more who have rolled out the transition of the new look and launched the website. Web’n’more who specialise in rural websites, graphic design and marketing, will continue to maintain and improve the Stockplace marketing platforms.
In the administration office, based in Cloncurry and run by Susan Coates, the focus is on fast payments. Stockplace has introduced BPay and Credit Card facilities to their payment gateways and is working with Creditors to speed up the payment process.
The three Livestock and Property Salesmen, James Coates, Luke Westaway and Ashley Naclerio have over 30 years of combined livestock and property marketing experience. They live and breathe the northern beef industry. Strong sponsors at many local events, like the Richmond Field Days, race days, rodeos and the Stockplace Top End Purse across six campdrafts, the Stockplace team are always available to discuss livestock and property and what’s happening in the market. Always a great source of local market knowledge, Stockplace have the network to access and connect with multiple markets further afield on their client’s behalf.
