Dingo numbers
Wild dogs, or dingoes as they were referred to, didn’t rate many news items in the 1930s, just the occasional article such as this one in May 1935 giving a statewide summary.
Continuing the state of play, the Land Commissioner at Charleville reported that landholders were not taking adequate steps to destroy increasing numbers, due to the lack of feed and water.
At Cloncurry, trappers were withdrawn due to the scarcity of dingoes.
