The second Northern Beef Producers Expo held at the Charters Towers Showgrounds on March 4-5 this year exceeded the high benchmark set by the inaugural event held in 2015.
In preparation for the next expo, committee president Martin Holzwart is calling for individuals who are passionate about the future of the beef industry to join the ranks of the committee.
“We are holding our next general meeting on June 24 which is open to anyone who’s interested in becoming a member, there we’ll set the exact annual general meeting date which at will be in July/August,” Mr Holzwart said.
He said the current committee doesn’t want to make a decision if the event will continue being held annually or switch to a bi-annual format until the members who’ll be involved with the planning process are organised.
“We’re excited for the future prospects of the expo with trade exhibitor numbers going from 55 in 2015 to 85 this year.”
