ENTRANTS in the Dairy Queen competition have started their campaign to be crowned as part of the centenary celebrations of the Malanda Show next month.
The 18 young ladies were presented at a meet and greet recently, and have started the formal part of the competition. They will take part in the show ball on 25 June and in the float procession on 8 July in Malanda.
Competition co-ordinator Kate Stokes said the community should be proud of the group of young ladies.
“The young ladies who have been nominated are all fabulous, enthusiastic, willing young people and I am so very proud to be involved in this competition,” Mrs Stokes said
“We are a very fortunate community.”
The judging will be done by Juanita Henry, Carol Evans and Dianne Atkinson-Taylor.
