BRIAN and Dianne Conroy’s highly developed Wandoan aggregation Coolibah was passed in for $11 million on a bid from the floor at a Ray White Rural auction in Brisbane on Friday.
Reflecting the remarkable strength of the market for top line properties, four of the six parties that registered to bid were active at the auction.
Coolibah, which is located 32km north of Wandoan and 42km south of Taroom, comprises of five freehold properties covering some 2800 hectares (6919 acres).
The aggregation has developed brigalow and belah scrub soils which have been established to buffel grass. There is also 1619ha of established leucaena trees.
Coolibah is estimated to finish about 1400 bullocks a year.
Water is supplied from four bores with one main bore watering the entire aggregation incorporating a Dosatron medication system.
Improvements include a steel cattle yards connected to a laneway system, a three bedroom homestead, three additional homes, four machinery sheds and two silos.
