WA milk and natural yoghurt won champion awards at the prestigious 2016 Australian Grand Dairy Awards (AGDA) in Melbourne last week.
Harvey Fresh won the champion milk award for the first time with its Free Range Full Cream milk.
Mundella Foods won the champion natural yogurt for a seventh time in nine years with its Mundella Greek Natural Yoghurt.
Six of the seven times the Mundijong-based yoghurt and soft cheese producer - which started as a side line by a dairy farming couple in 1974 - has won an AGDA champion award it has been for its Greek yoghurt.
Harvey Fresh general manager Paul Lorimer said the champion award was also a win for the company's 67 dairy farmer suppliers.
"This national award is fantastic recognition of the quality of milk that our Harvey Fresh dairy farmers supply," Mr Lorimer said.
"Producing creamy, tasty, full-cream milk doesn't happen by accident.
"Our farmers work hard to get a number of quality parameters in their milk absolutely right, regardless of the season, so that the consumer always gets the best quality product.
"Our staff take significant pride in ensuring that only the best dairy products are produced.
"I'm extremely proud of the focus that all staff have on quality.
"This award is a massive encouragement to our dairy farmers and our staff, who are looking for some good news after the tough start to the year that we have endured."
The Harvey Fresh factory near Harvey township was shut down and isolated inside the Waroona bushfire emergency zone for almost four days last month.
Three employees lost their homes when much of Yarloop was destroyed by the fire and Harvey Fresh supplier farmers had to tip milk out because tankers could not get to the factory to deliver it.
"The way the community has rallied around everyone affected by the fires has been absolutely fantastic and has provided a real boost to local communities down here," Mr Lorimer said.
Mundella Foods chief executive officer David Day said the award was on-going recognition by industry experts of the craftsmanship and passion for dairy at Mundella.
"It is always a great honour to receive a dairy award from our peers within the industry," Mr Day said.
"Such an accolade is magnified however when the award is presented at the Australian Grand Dairy Awards.
"These awards represent Australia's most prestigious dairy competition and their coveted prizes are only given to dairy products representative of the finest and unparalleled quality.
"To be recognised as producing a product of this calibre is the ultimate testimonial."
AGDA judges compared more than 300 dairy products on flavour, aroma, texture, body and appearance to arrive at the champion award winners.
