CORFIELD has done it again. For some reason the Corfield Cup is always one of, if not the best, country race meetings in the North West and the 2013 Corfield Cup more than lived up to expectations.
A solid crowd turned out on Saturday to this race track in the middle of the Downs country to experience a fantastic day of racing and revelry
Unfortunately some of the races had very short fields.
Exemplary of this was the Race 4 Corfield Cup Open Handicap, which had only three horses racing.
The Wesley Irwin-trained Reigning to Win, ridden by Ray Hancock, came away with the win.
The following photos provide a glimpse of all the action on and off the field.
