LELY has developed a new variable round baler, the Welger RP 545, to meet industry needs for extra efficiency and capacity in crop harvesting for farmers and contractors.
The machine can produce bales from 90 centimetres up to 2 metres in diameter.
Its 2.25m wide camless pick-up and large bale chamber give it high capacity and its constant pressure system provides high bale density.
It comes with an E-Link Pro Isobus control monitor, including a bale shape indicator feature as standard.
The Lely Welger RP 545 has new 50mm double roller Profi bearings in the tensioning system for extra durability.
All rollers and shafts, which are part of the bale chamber, are fitted with greasable bearings.
The endless belts have already proven themselves in other Lely Welger baler models, as they are capable of lasting well over 80,000 bales.
The new E-Link Pro control monitor has a bright display that also shows a status bar for left and right filling of the bale chamber, preventing poorly shaped bales.
The system is based on Isobus, so any Isobus-fitted tractor display can be easily connected, allowing you to use the control panel of the tractor to monitor and change baler settings.
All field and customer statistics can be set by the field wizard, a simple guide to gather important data, such as the number of bales or hours worked per field or customer.
All data can then be exported to other computers using the USB connector.
