STEERS made to a whopping $3.75 a kilogram at the Strathalbyn feature cattle sale on Friday.
Heifers also made up to a very healthy $3.30/kg and cows with calves-at-foot made to $1430.
There were 650 head yarded at the sale.
Elders' Danny Reynolds said the sale achieved some of the highest prices ever seen at Strathalbyn.
"It was a very good, solid sale, with the way the job is going at the moment, you couldn't not be happy with how it's going," he said.
"It's a fantastic time for sellers."
Buying interest came from Thomas Foods International, as well as the Riverland and Lower North and there was plenty of support from local Adelaide Hills restockers.
Landmark's Bradley Walker said restocking demand was very good on lighter cattle.
"Lighter cattle had very strong demand and heavier cattle were on par with feed-lot rates," he said.
Mr Walker said he expected more cattle to be yarded at the next sale, which is scheduled for the first Friday in November.
