IF you’re a Northern beef producer looking to restock your property for the upcoming season and want to take advantage of market opportunities without livestock capital constraints then it’s highly recommended that you attend one of the four finance information sessions sponsored by Queensland Rural being held in early March.
Ruralco Finance’s Liam Anderson will be the key speaker during the sessions in which he’ll be discussing the benefits of using StockCo Livestock Finance.
“StockCo allows you to fully fund your cattle purchases for restocking, backgrounding or feedlotting purposes,” Liam said.
“Many graziers in the area have been forced to sell high numbers of cattle due to outside circumstances such as the prolonged drought in the region,” he said.
He said StockCo allows graziers to 100 per cent fund cattle purchases while maintaining control of the marketing side of the equation.
“Stockco allow graziers to finance cattle purchases without tying up their working capital or having to ask the bank for a loan.
“A lot of banks are knocking back graziers due to a lack of confidence in the cattle market which is in turn stunting their ability to restock.”
He said the Stockco system focuses on the purchase of trading stock with the aim of allowing graziers to purchase enough cattle that they can keep their heads above water until selling conditions improve.
“Stockco can also be used to fund feedlotting operations for either feeding cattle on the way to feedlots or to pay for actual feed costs within the feedlot.”
StockCo Australia was formed in 2005 to meet demand from producers for targeting livestock finance.
The company now operates throughout Australia with a focus on feedlot and back grounder finance, lamb trading and beef and dairy herd finance.
StockCo Australia is run by Australians in Australia and their team of agrifinance professionals are helping transform the financial management of some of Australia’s leading high performance farming businesses.
