NORTH Queensland Toyota Cowboys players will join Shane Webcke and a crowd of thousands this weekend at the Sports Expo and Sign-on Day at the Mackay Entertainment Convention Centre (MECC) on Sunday, February 8.
Halfback Robert Lui and new recruit Ben Spina will attend the expo following their trial match against the Brisbane Broncos on Saturday night at Stadium Mackay.
The son of the North Queensland Cowboys’ inaugural captain Laurie Spina, Ben Spina was the Northern Pride Player of the Year in 2013 and capped off an outstanding 2014 season by signing his first NRL contract with the Cowboys.
Players from the Mackay Cutters, Whitsunday Sharks, Meteors and Meteorettes will also attend the Sports Expo between 9am and 1pm.
Jemma Wilson, the current world number two Enduro champion will also attend the event, thanks to the Pioneer Valley Enduro Club. Jemma has a feast of accolades to her name including being titled Australia off-road women’s champion twice.
Over 104 sporting clubs covering over 50 sport and recreation activities will be on display at the expo.
