A GREAT weekend of food, fun and festivities made the 20th anniversary of the Ingham Australian Italian Festival a time to remember.
Thousands of visitors came through the gates at the TYTO Wetlands on August 2-3 to soak in the authentic Italian culture while enjoying mouth-watering homemade cuisine.
From ravioli to cannoli, the myriad food outlets dotting the festival ensured that anyone seeking traditional homemade Italian fare was left well satiated.
There were many events to keep visitors entertained from bocce bowling and hands-on pasta making courses to the ever popular grape stomping competition.
The regions past was remembered with a historical photographic display reaching as far back as the 1800s depicting immigrants involved in the early cane cutting days.

Member for Hinchinbrook Andrew Cripps said it was great to see people from all around the North as well as lots of locals come out for the day to support the festival and the Ingham community.
"It's a fantastic event that promotes, showcases and celebrates the cultural attributes of Italian migrants and descendant's in the Hinchinbrook Shire and Australia," Mr Cripps said.
"It also celebrates the significant contribution they have made and are making to the Australian way of life," he said.
"It has been estimated that over half of Ingham's population has one or more Italian ancestors making it the ideal place to hold this event."
