THE Big Country Brahman Sale conducted at the Dalrymple sale yards has been heralded by vendors and agents as a great success and the final figures and a 100 per cent clearance confirm that.
There were 64 Red Brahmans registered bulls sold for a gross of $390,500 for an average of $6100 and a top price of $30,000 paid by Felicity and Joe Streeter, Fairy Springs Brahman Stud, Taroom, for the Lanes Creek Brahman Lot 15, Lanes Creek Komrade, 1240 (P).
Seven Reg Brahman herd bulls averaged $4850 with a top of $7000 and a gross of $34,000.

In the Grey Brahman section 96 bulls sold for a gross of $586,500 at an average $6100 and a top price of $62,500 paid by a partnership of Bill Blakeney, Warraka Brahman Stud and Royce Somerfield, Bahrock Brahman Stud again for a Lanes Creek Brahman Stud bull, Lot 108, Lanes Creek Marocco Manso 1449.
There were 12 Grey Brahman herd bulls sold for a gross of $43,500 with a top of $5000.
There were seven Brahman stud heifers sold for a gross of $25,500 at an average $3650 and a top price of $7000.
