A TOTAL of 21 high quality horses have been catalogued for the ninth annual Hayes & Co Nebo Working Horse sale being held on September 19 at the Nebo Undercover Arena from 12pm.
Hayes & Co representative Sophie White said the 14 geldings and 7 mares catalogued range from three to eight years old.
“Most of them have mustering, campdrafting and/or cutting experience under their belt,” Ms White said.
“The line-up of horses truly does have something for everyone; from novices through to seasoned riders, who want a horse that's ready to train, go to work, or compete in campdrafting” she said.
Sires being represented at the sale include Who's A Fancy Cat, Lectric Playboy, Kirkbys Stud Rascal, Coomara Abstract, McNamara Ordeal, Mustang Entrepreneur, Avenger, The Littleredrooster, Driftalux Supadude, Skyville Trash, Alymer Court Justaromeo, Hydeout Freeman and Daly Abs Preview.
Buyers are encouraged to be at the undercover arena from 10am to see the horses working on cattle prior to the sale commencing.
“There will also be a snafflebit cutting event starting from 7.30am, which some of the sale horses have been nominated to enter.
“Draws for this event will be posted on the Nebo Horse Sale facebook page a few days before the sale, so interested buyers can see what time the horses will be competing.”
After the sale has concluded, National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) open and open non pro cutting competitions will be held, which will showcase the best cutting horses and riders around the district.
