ATHERTON celebrated the maize harvest for the 51st time last Friday night with a street mardi gras and parade attended by an estimated 3000 people.
Rock bands, pop bands, dancers, dozens of stalls and entertainers in general kept the crowd entertained until the street parade with well over 100 floats paraded along Atherton's main street enthralling children and adults alike.
The North Queensland Register was there tocapture the event on camera.
