ESKWOOD Brahman’s Matt and Anna Slaughter have graciously donated one of their bulls Eskwood Yogi for a charity auction to be held at the Tropical Northern Brahman Bull Sale in support of the 65 Roses campaign.
The 65 Roses campaign was created to raise awareness and funding for Cystic Fibrosis research and support.
The funds raised from the sale of Yogi will go towards a scholarship fund being organised by 65 Roses in support of cystic Fibrosis.
The Slaughter’s were friends of Shelly Shephard who had a real passion for cystic fibrosis fundraising. Shelly passed away in September 2012 after catching influenza while undergoing routine IV treatment for her CF.
A PhD Scholarship will be set up in memory of Shelley which will fund a Healthcare Professional to commence PhD studies within the Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane.
Anna Slaughter said Eskwood Yogi is a lovely young bull at 24m of age come sale day.
“He is among the first progeny to be offered by Bungoona Rorke's Drift (Bungoona's top price bull at Brahman Week 2011),” she said.
“His dam is a highly regarded, very correct, smooth polled female within our herd.
Eskwood Yogi has been vet checked and evaluated with a scrotal measure of 33cm and a semen count of 80 per cent.
“Please help us in supporting this great organisation come sale day.”
