THE Inaugural Clermont Beef Bull Sale presents a quality line up of bulls for stud and commercial producers.
Long-time Central Queensland bull producers, David and Julie McCamley, Andrew and Lucille Angel and Andrew and Anna McCamley have joined forces to create a new bull sale at the Clermont Saleyards being held on September 23.
The 90 bulls on offer include 64 Grey and seven Red Brahmans, 12 Brangus and seven Charolais.
Palmal Brahmans start the sale with Lots 1 and 2 Brigadier and Dynamo which are both very good poll bulls. Lots 6-8 are full brothers and are Full Import Bred that display a lot of breed character and style.
Two stars of the draft Lots 35 and 36 are the first sons of our top sire Lancefield D Dynamic 4343. Brahman bulls offered include top bloodlines- Echo, Doncaster, Burton, Augustus and Exclusive.
A total of 10 Brangus bulls are also being offered by Palmal that are sired by top Angus bulls including Te Mania Infinity and Adrossan Equator and are all out of stud Brahman females. These powerful 2yo bulls exhibit length bone and have very clean underlines.
Palmal commercial cattle have had a very successful year at Clermont Show and the CQ Carcase Classic.
Mooramin Brahmans will start at Lot 11, with a powerful 2yo sire, Goondiwindi. This bull is one of the best stud sires we have produced with a strong pedigree combining Yenda and Glengarry bloodlines. Lot 14, 17, and 18 are bulls which won the “Pen of Three Bulls” at this year’s Clermont Show. These three bulls show plenty of length, bone, and meat qualities, while having clean underlines.
All Bulls at the sale are 22–26 months old and are produced out of good uddered, fertile females. These females are seasonally mated for approximately four months, allowing us to keep control of their breading cycle.
We also have two Brangus bulls for the sale which have been carefully selected from our commercial herd.
The 2AM team includes 18 Grey and seven Red Brahmans and seven Charolais bulls. All the young sires display the typical bone, muscling, growth for age and fertility our clients have come to expect.
We have selected a tremendous sale draft of bulls with sons of all our leading sire lines such as Lancefield A Rick, Hercules, Ecstrata, Nitrate, Preston and JDH Beckton available for purchase. The seven Charolais bulls on offer are hardy, no fuss types, bred in Central Queensland’s hot, ticky conditions and all carry strong Ayr bloodlines.
Our breeding herds are fertility focused, with the dams of the bulls calving annually and buyers will benefit from the constitution and doing ability of the bulls bred locally. Our bulls are prepared to a joining weight not a finishing weight so that along with the available raw dam fertility data they are fit and ready to work.
All bulls offered have been semen tested and vaccinated for 3 Germ blood, 3 day sickness, 5 in 1, botulism and will have been pre-treated for ticks.
Scanning data and weights will be available from September 19 and on sale day.
