Man shot and another injured in fight at remote property

One man has been shot in the shoulder and another has cuts to his hands after the pair fought at a remote north Queensland property last night.

Police were called to a property on Idress Drive in Cooktown, about 300 kilometres north of Cairns, where they found the two men injured at 7.40pm.

Investigations are continuing.
